when r u getting married??
You might be thinking about the title and what am going to write ...? Well this is one of the most expected but the most weird question that we all have to answer in this phase of life ...when we all are settled in our professions. Why don't people understand, when they themselves have been through this phase, that marriage is not the goal of life. Life is much more than marriage! Huh...!
Whenever you try to be a part of family get together each and every uncles/aunts of yours tries to be the first one to get a match for you and will do anything to convince you for the match that they want for you! yaar inhe kya matlab hai meri shaadi se ...meri marzi mai karu ya na karu .... inhe kya milne wala hai meri shaadi se ??? mujhe yeh samajh nahi aata! :X
Since i have done my grads, this is the most common question which i have to answer "Beta, when are you getting married??" or some other version like "Aur, mithaai kab khila rahi hai ??" as if this is the only occasion when one distributes sweets ...!
its my life , my decision , and my parents ...what the hell rest of the world has to do with it??
Nobody will ask how is your job ? or how do you feel about your job or what else do you want ..but everyone will come and ask When are you getting married? Don't they have any other thing to do except for cribbing for my wedding ?? And once you are settled, whole universe conspires to make you understand the importance of marriage, of life partner and in-laws, how one should deal with them as if we are innocent soldiers and don't know how to face the enemies(so called in-laws) ! Moreover, once you declare the name of your spouse, another battle starts among your aunts and everyone tries her best to prepare you to fight with most favorite enemy named "Mother-in-law". Why is she pictured this way ...after all she is also a mother ....mother of your spouse! (No offences against anyone! :P).
PS: This is no where related to me , but yeah some excerpts from life of some of my friends! Luckily i got a chance to skip all this! :D
