A special wish!

Image
My dear, I know that I have been ignoring you for past few months. I know you have been one of the best things, that happened to me in life, and still have always given a very low priority in life. You have always been there, a vent to my feelings, an ear to all my thoughts, some said some unsaid; have seen different aspects of life with my words, and been through all the ups and downs of life with me. You know all my wishes, all the wishlists, feelings, choices, and the bad patches of life, and accepted without any prejudice. You came to my life, this very day, around 11 years back, 5th November, 2006. During these 11 years, i have been visiting you, sometimes more than once a day, sometimes, once a few months. One thing which was consistant, was your presence. I knew, you are always there, how much irregular i may be in visiting you, but you will always be there, waiting for me with your arms open, and all ears to my thoughts. All said, and now a simple wish! Happy birthd...

Memoirs ... all the way from Pune!

Image
This is a late post, thanks to Divya , for inspiring the writer in me to pen down my experience of the Pune city. I moved to Pune from NCR in June 2015, with a few apprehensions about the place. I had heard a lot about this city (from a few friends who stayed there), and had crossed it a couple of times while travelling by road, but had never visited. At the same time, i was excited too, as this was the first step to a new era of life! Early days of this city were full of exploring the place, culture, learning a new language and developing some habits. I tried to capture a few in one of my post  . Couple of things which i learnt about myself while i was in this city: a) I could Dance, and became a certified Salsa dancer!  (Well i can count this as an achievement of my life!, one thing which i would definitely want to have in my eulogy (if it is ever written) :P ) b) With this place, i started writing reviews on Zomato; i.e. officially became a food blogger! :) c)...

Day of Summer Solstice!

Image
"22 June", apart from being the day of Solstice, this day holds a special place in my life!  This very day in 1993, it was the housewarming of our home! Yayay, my home, sweet home is 24 years old now! It has seen my life, lived all the ups and downs of life with me, in last 24 years.  This day, year 2007,was my first day in the Corporate world! Wow! I could survive a decade in Corporate! It's a big achievement for someone like me.  And, 22 June, happens to be the birthday of my Pole Star! Yes, it's her birthday! :)  Wish you a very happy birthday dear!  Today, am short of words, i do not have words which can do justice to the place that you hold in my life. My Pole star, who guides me at every step, someone who gives me strength; for sure you know how to induce things in my mind ;).  Well, since am unable to find words today, i will repeat my lines for you,  She is a friend, a family someone i can rely on someone with whom i can sh...

Little Things Mean A Lot

Too often we don't realize What we have until it is gone. Too often we wait too late to say "I'm sorry - I was wrong." Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones We hold dearest to our hearts; And we allow foolish things To tear our lives apart. Far too many times we let Unimportant things into our minds; And then it's usually too late To see what made us blind. So be sure that you let people know How much they mean to you. Take the time to say the words Before your time is through. Be sure that you appreciate Everything you've got; And be thankful for the little things in life that mean a lot. ~Regina Riggs

On a dental Chair

How does it feel when you are sitting on a dental chair, with a painful tooth? Last week, I had to undergo a dental procedure called Root Canal Treatment. It was not for the first time i had this treatment, as already had two RCTs done during college days; hence, my dentist expected me to be a pro for handling the painful procedure. Of course i was not a pro, but was experienced, so knew all the steps and the after-effects. Since i was not a novice, was quite calm about the LA (Local Anesthesia) that the dentist gave to me. As, i could foresee the pain, hence i was mentally prepared for it, thereby could deal with the same, resulting in a peaceful procedure. Somewhere my dentist was expecting me to shout or make a big fuss out of the entire procedure, and i wasn't an iota distressed, which was a shock for him! Only thing which irritated me in entire process was, dentist took more than 25 X-rays! There was a point when i wanted to tell him, pls no more pics of my teeth. Havin...

Soul Connection

Sometimes it feels, it was just a few years ago, when i was introduced to a smiling girl, who in just few weeks, became an integral part of my life. Fast forward to 2012,she got married to her Prince Charming, and again fast forward to 2016, she gave birth to another angel! Next week, i will meeting both of them. Must say, time just flies away! It's been 13 years now. Gosh! Time flies ! :D In these 13 years, we started from being strangers, to aquantainces , to friends, to best buddies or BFFs, to be called as family. Whenever we talk, there's always a sense of belonging to each other. She has been my strength in the ups and downs of life. If i try to name a person whom i have hurt the most, then it would be surely Her. Above all, if anyone in this world knows me the best it's Her! She knows me inside out, but everytime she tells me that she doesn't know me much. Wierd! I can't stop smiling knowing that i would be seeing her next week, almost after 5 years. We ...

Web of life

Image
A few months back, i went on a trip to hill side. There were two motives behind the trip a) Spend quality time with nature b) Social media detox On the trip, in the lap of nature, casually clicked a pic At that moment, with nothing in mind, i captioned this as " Web of life "; hardly i knew anything that this will actually become essence of moment few months down the line.  Today, life has become so complicated, if every relation is considered to be a string of the web, then everything gets linked with other. So if we try to pull one string, then other one automatically gets strained. Tension in one will induce tension in other strings! Which effectively means, you can not sort out one at a time. You have to work upon all simultaneously, else otherwise you have to keep a close check on every string which is for sure demanding stuff.  Sometimes, being connected with everything is awesome; while in strained situation, its definitely one of the worst thing...

bus rukna nahi chahta .....

Main udna chahta hoon, daudna chahta hoon, girna bhi chahta hoon … bus rukna nahi chahta.... Can you guess this dialogue ? Am sure yes you can ! Bunny (from YJHD) says this!  YJHD happens to be one of those movies with whose storyline i could connect the most in recent times! Dunn worry am neither Naina nor Bunny, but yes somewhere a part of me relates to both of them.  When i used to watch this movie (don't even remember the number of times i have seen it, despite of the fact that i distaste Ranbir Kapoor); i liked this dialogue of Bunny but could never relate to it.  Today, out of the blues i can feel it! Coz somewhere i have also started thinking like this. I just want to be busy, do every single thing in life, except stopping at a place! Want this time to run as fast as it can and it never stops !  Am not scared of falling, but definitely scared of stopping at a place for long!  PS: Random thoughts! Purely fictional and no relation to anything...

Mumbaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!

After roaming across the entire nation, finally am here in the city of the dreams! I have worked in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Pune and now Mumbai (in order of workplaces)! Finally, i have got the place which i can call mine (atleast for sometime), got my bed to sleep in and a breather post all the shifting fuss. A few days back , my angel (who herself is a mother of another cute li'l angel) asked me "Whats new?" I was like "Everything babes!! There is nothing old here, except me :P" . So we had our own joke! Anyways, on a serious note, after staying in so many cities, am yet to catch up with life of Mumbai. Still struggling with the culture of city. Mumbai is for sure the only cosmopolitan city India has (if it can be called so); and has got its own way of dealing with everything. And am trying to learn it all. Hope someday, i will be able to say, Aamchi Mumbai! or Mumbai meri jaan! :) ciao Got to get back to work in this running city! ...
