Living the old passion again!

It's been a month i got my car, and in this month, drove for more than 700 km across Pune. Wow!!

I have always loved driving, it has been my passion,  which i lost in the ups and downs of life. One more passion, which i lost in past few years was passion for writing, passion for dramatics. Remembering good old days of undergrads, when i used to visit the library only to pen down a script for an upcoming play or skit or monologue! Nostalgic i am today; when i have to develop one more script from scratch based on an idea discussed and approved with the team.

Well yeah, we have an upcoming event in office on occasion of "Independence Day of India". And we as a team have decided to participate in a skit competition. And i have the responsibility to write the script for the same. So excited i am, just on the idea of writing a script for drama competition after 9 years.

Still remember, the script i wrote for a friend , as she was supposed to participate in a monologue competition. In my entire 4 years of engineering, that was the first time i bunked a class and went to library to write the script as i was unable to concentrate in my hostel room. Juniors were amazed to see me in library while seniors were impressed on seeing my dedication for theater; while i was in an utter shock, that i did not sleep even for a second for complete 4 hours being in the library or the silent zone.  On a serious note, when i left the library, the script was already complete and a masterpiece was created (at least it was the best thing i scripted). And then the responsibility remained with my friend to enact it properly and do justice to my hard work. And she did it brilliantly. She brought life to the character i created for her. And she bagged third prize in the competition; with a special mention for the script and concept. Yes concept was definitely unique; It was based on "How Geeta would have felt if she was a woman and not just a book, on seeing the current state of the world" . My friend she portrayed the character of Geeta. And the judges appreciated the concept.

Actually, this idea came to me when i was having a discussion with one more friend of mine, that how someone would have felt on watching the things happening which have actually happened in their absence. And from there, i took the inspiration and created the character of Geeta as a girl, who took birth in the battle of Mahabharat; and is repenting why Lord Krishna left her in this world.

Coming back to present, again i have to write a script, and frankly speaking am missing library nearby! :(

I should go back and start writing the script, as the deadline is  this weekend. And on Monday i need to share the draft with the team!

Wish luck to me !!! :D
