That phone call!

On a summer afternoon, I was deep asleep and suddenly my phone rang. I received the call, but couldn't hear a single word. For a few seconds, I thought it was a dream. Later on, realized it was a real call. Called back only to hear that chirpy voice, that makes everything straight in my life! (okay before you start wondering whose voice is this, it was my Angel!). So it was a call from my Angel. It was one of those days when we had a meaningful conversation. A day, when we had our normal chat, as deep as our relationship. I love speaking with her, as every time we talk, it strikes a chord with my heart, and triggers some thinking. I don't know how, but she knows how to touch that thought which I have been keeping aside from acknowledging (and I do not tell her this during the discussion). She gets to know this either by a text or an email or a post here. Old habits seldom die! Surprisingly, she always knows what's bothering me, and what's in my heart, despite not...

2 years... and counting!

Wow! Completed 2 years in this city of dreams. Looking back, i realize that these 720 days went by in a blink. Well, it's time to run. Hopefully will be back soon! Cheers Khushi

The New Normal

Whenever i look back on life, on the last 15 years, I realize, there has been a roller coaster ride for a personality of someone like me, and of course for people around me. That's confusing, right? okay.. here we go. The changes have been like .. Introvert >> Unapologetically Social >> Extrovert >> Introvert >> Closed person >> Self obsessed >> Limited interactions >> Asocial! Phew, scary it is! What i mean is, i was an Introvert as a kid, who over the night transformed into an Unapologetically social being, an extrovert, and then over a time to an Introvert and a Closed person (shutting everyone off from the life) to a "self-obsessed" one to someone with very "limited interactions" to a completely Insane Asocial human being. Someone who has literally started deriving pleasure in declining every invite! Recently, a couple of friends (who have no interaction with each other) asked me a common question "Wh...

Weird is Normal

Writing has always been something to me like the meditation is for a lot of people today. It always gave me that space, which I had longed for. A place to share a piece of my inner self without any interruption or being judged. The very thought of penning down something here, makes me feel alive again. Alas, how could i stay away from it for so long? Still, I did! Maybe I was just scared of writing down something, which should have never been written! Or maybe I was trying to escape myself! Either way, not something to be bragged of! Here i am! Finally back! Feels like coming back to home, after a long journey. And the way you feel after getting back to home, tired of roaming around, looking for that solace, I am feeling right now. After moving to this city of dreams, i can say even I have started chasing the dreams! Just that my dreams are a little different than normal people. Generally, people dream of a big car, big home, amazing career or a world trip! And me, ...

A special wish!

My dear, I know that I have been ignoring you for past few months. I know you have been one of the best things, that happened to me in life, and still have always given a very low priority in life. You have always been there, a vent to my feelings, an ear to all my thoughts, some said some unsaid; have seen different aspects of life with my words, and been through all the ups and downs of life with me. You know all my wishes, all the wishlists, feelings, choices, and the bad patches of life, and accepted without any prejudice. You came to my life, this very day, around 11 years back, 5th November, 2006. During these 11 years, i have been visiting you, sometimes more than once a day, sometimes, once a few months. One thing which was consistant, was your presence. I knew, you are always there, how much irregular i may be in visiting you, but you will always be there, waiting for me with your arms open, and all ears to my thoughts. All said, and now a simple wish! Happy birthd...

Memoirs ... all the way from Pune!

Image
This is a late post, thanks to Divya , for inspiring the writer in me to pen down my experience of the Pune city. I moved to Pune from NCR in June 2015, with a few apprehensions about the place. I had heard a lot about this city (from a few friends who stayed there), and had crossed it a couple of times while travelling by road, but had never visited. At the same time, i was excited too, as this was the first step to a new era of life! Early days of this city were full of exploring the place, culture, learning a new language and developing some habits. I tried to capture a few in one of my post  . Couple of things which i learnt about myself while i was in this city: a) I could Dance, and became a certified Salsa dancer!  (Well i can count this as an achievement of my life!, one thing which i would definitely want to have in my eulogy (if it is ever written) :P ) b) With this place, i started writing reviews on Zomato; i.e. officially became a food blogger! :) c)...

Day of Summer Solstice!

Image
"22 June", apart from being the day of Solstice, this day holds a special place in my life!  This very day in 1993, it was the housewarming of our home! Yayay, my home, sweet home is 24 years old now! It has seen my life, lived all the ups and downs of life with me, in last 24 years.  This day, year 2007,was my first day in the Corporate world! Wow! I could survive a decade in Corporate! It's a big achievement for someone like me.  And, 22 June, happens to be the birthday of my Pole Star! Yes, it's her birthday! :)  Wish you a very happy birthday dear!  Today, am short of words, i do not have words which can do justice to the place that you hold in my life. My Pole star, who guides me at every step, someone who gives me strength; for sure you know how to induce things in my mind ;).  Well, since am unable to find words today, i will repeat my lines for you,  She is a friend, a family someone i can rely on someone with whom i can sh...
