My Guardian Angel
Already a week over and here i am, sitting and loving the "me time" :) . Away from the office chaos , traffic of city and greeting random acquaintances politely (yeah i do need to answer a lot of people whom i have never met before, never seen a single pic , but talk frequently) .
Just a blink of eye and its already 6th day of the week! Always seen people counting the days, months or years; just realised while writing down , i just count weeks. Its always been like "few weeks " for me which actually was few months ; and today its again week got over (though it is month end as well). Again a sign of being a weirdo. Both my Angel and Pole star will definitely agree on this point with me (for a change! ;) ) .
Well it's my Angel's Wedding Anniversary, 3rd one (if am not wrong) . Wish you and your sweet hubby the best of life and happiness from all the world! And please don't forget to treat me; its long overdue (for previous ones also :P )
Some times back, i went to McLeod with friends; and there i bought this book - 'My Guardian Angel'.
While i was buying, friend P asked, "Do you believe in angels? I mean do you think there is someone who can be your Guardian Angel? " .
I was both surprised and shocked on this question (as Ms P being a regular reader of my blog, one of the few lukkha persons who wastes her time by reading my rantings ;) . We were a group of 4 friends; and she was the only one who had access to my blog space; for rest two it did not even exist) .
Coming back to point, i was crestfallen, how can she ignore "My Angel " about whom i kept on writing for past 7-8 years. Both Ms P and my angel knew each other (though never got a chance to meet; but of course have heard a lot from the same source ) ; and she just popped up this question. I was disheartened for sure; and answered her a bit rudely "Yes! I do believe and I know who is mine". Poor Ms P , was confused over my reaction (rather over-reaction); and decided to ignore it just like she has been doing for more than 10 years (confirming in her thoughts that I have surely gone crazy now , and will drive others crazy too if she continued this discussion). Yeah she happens to be a school friend; and now we are into 15th year of our relationship. Have seen and supported each other in all the ups and downs of life with our share of fights. Cheers to our friendship Ms P!! Ohh ya i forgot to mention, she herself is an amazing writer, poet, claims herself to be a thinker and we perceive her as a deep thinker beyond our understanding. :P
Later, that day, i thought of confronting her, as i did not like her to ignore my reaction. And i was there, "I am surprised that you did not know who is my Guardian Angel." And she was once again confused . Before she could say a word in her defense, i was after her life, how did she dare ignore My angel, My Cute Little , about whom i keep on pestering every single person who i talk to . Poor girl , she was helpless and apologized, promising that she will never ever ignore My angel in life. a Few moments later, she was again there, asking me " How do you know that she is your Angel ? I mean it could be that you have identified someone wrongly then ? " .
And once again left me speechless.
I did not have an answer then, today, or over the years the way she has been my support system, the way she has with held me from taking the wrong path in life, the way she has guided me , the way she has made me figure out my strengths and helped me in improving as a person; the way she has understood me, heard me without judging ; being in another part of the world, still she has managed to handle all my tantrums so perfectly ; that some times even my own family seeks her help in handling me ; surely she is My Guardian Angel! :)
Ms P - am sure today, you are convinced that she is My Guardian Angel! :D ;)
